ANP leader Mian Iftekhar appears in Nowshera court
ANP leader was apprehended in an accusation of killing PTI workers.
NOWSHERA (Dunya News) – Leader of Awami National Party (ANP) Mian Iftekhar on Sunday appeared in magistrate court over the allegations leveled by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of killing their workers during the local bodies election in Pabbi, Dunya News reported.
Earlier, an incidence of firing by unknown individuals killed a 16 year old boy late Saturday night in Pabbi. Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) has accused that the boy was shot dead by Awami National Party (ANP) workers. PTI workers surrounded the house of ANP’s former Information Minister Mian Iftikhar’s home after the incidence.
According to the details, PTI workers were celebrating their success in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa’s (KP) local body elections when unknown assailants opened fire on the celebrating workers.
The army was called in as the situation became serious which provided safe passage for Iftikhar to leave his home.
Police has taken 10 workers of ANP into custody and began their investigation into the shooting incidence.
Further, Leader of Awami National Party (ANP) Asfandyar Wali has strongly condemned the allegationleveled against Mian Iftekhar for killing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI’s) worker, Dunya News reported on Sunday.
According to the details, the ANP leaders have strongly denounced the detention of former provincial minister and stated that he cannot take life of any one as he had lost his son in an attack.
While exclusively talking to the Dunya News, he further said that Jamaat-e-Ismlami (JI) has also alleged PTI of staging a rigging during Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) local bodies election.
