Ogra seeks Rs6.19 per litre increase in petrol price

Ogra has forwarded a summary to increase petroleum prices from June 1.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday forwarded a summary to the Petroleum Ministry, seeking up to Rs13.25 per litre increase in prices of petroleum products.

According to sources, Ogra sought to raise the price of petrol by Rs6.19 per litre, high speed diesel by Rs7.91, high octane Rs13.25 per liter, light diesel oil Rs7.62 and kerosene oil by Rs6.53 per litre.

Ogra has also suggested the government to maintain the prices by reducing petroleum levy.

Final decision on the summary will be taken after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif s approval.
