Axact scam: FIA to record statements of four more employees
FIA has also affirmed to count the degrees under the supervision of magistrate.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has geared up the probe as the team will record the statements of as many as four more Axact employees in fake degrees scam today (Thursday), Dunya News reported.
According to the details, the FIA personnel would reach the Axact office today where they would record the statements of further employees working in different departments. FIA has also affirmed to count the degrees, recovered from the company’s office, under the supervision of magistrate.
Earlier, FIA recovered thousands of fake degrees and 8 printing machines from Axact Karachi office on Wednesday. FIA Islamabad has issued a list of 16 fake universities initially and has contacted around 4000 people who had fake degrees of Axact.
FIA raided the Karachi office of Axact last night and recovered the printing machines of worth Rs 30 million. Fake degrees were being sent to Dubai and distributed from there in order to avoid any suspicion. The list of fake universities issued by FIA includes American Institute of Management Studies, Madison hills, Paramount California University, Nicholson University and Brockswell University and many others.
The FIA wrote to around 4000 people who obtained fake degrees from Axact s universities and directed them to contact FIA back.
