Three policemen including sub-inspector shot dead in Karachi
The incident occurred in Bhangoria Goth area of Karachi.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – Three policemen including a sub-inspector were killed in gun attack in Bhangoria Goth area of Karachi on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
The victims identified as sub-inspector Sikandar, constables Asif and Ashraf were on a routine patrol in the area when four militants riding on motorbikes attacked the policemen with 9mm pistols and fled the scene.
Soon after the incident, IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali, Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo, SP Liaquatabad Taha Noorani, DG Rangers Major Bilal Akbar and other law enforcement personnel arrived at the scene.
Reportedly, the attackers took away rifles from the policemen as well. The bodies have been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah took notice of the incident and sought a report from the inspector general police.
