Condemning the acts of terrorism, he said that the terrorists are aiming for soft-targets
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said on Monday that the culprits involved in tragedy of Safoora Goth have been identified. He said that investigations are underway after keeping all considerations in mind, reported Dunya News.
Talking to media, Interior Minister said that innocent people had been targeted in Karachi in the violent attack.
He said that the whole nation had felt the jolts of the attack.
Sympathizing with the Ismaili community, Chaudhary Nisar said that the purpose of his visit to Karachi was to offer condolences to the community.
Assuring the timely investigation of the tragedy, Interior Minister said that the investigation is going in the right direction.
He said that the people involved in the incident had been identified while the persons who had been arrested had given positive response while being interrogated.
Chaudhary Nisar said that the investigation would be brought to its logical end and the culprits would face justice soon.
Criticizing the lack of policy to counter terrorism, Interior Minister said that terrorism is rampant in the country for the past 14 years yet no policy had been formulated up till 2013.
He said that up to 10 thousand operations and 36 thousand arrests had been made since 2014 by the incumbent government.
He applauded the role of intelligence agencies in rounding up the terrorists and bringing them behind bars.
Chaudhary Nisar said that one incident of bomb blast puts several successes of intelligence apparatus to the background. He also said that many victories of intelligence agencies are not given due coverage.
