Punjab govt directs to beef up security of Chinese nationals
The formation of four levels of security circles to guard Zimbabwe team was also approved
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday directed to form a special protection force comprising ten thousand personnel to protect Chinese nationals and other foreigners.
A four-hour long session took place at Chief Minister’s House in Lahore in which overall security situation in light of Zimbabwe cricket team’s Pakistan tour was reviewed in detail.
The formation of four levels of security circles to guard Zimbabwe team was also approved.
Approving formation of Punjab Safe City Project Authority, CM Punjab decided for an extension in Elite Police Training School.
It was also decided that the recruitment in Special Protection Force will be done through National Testing Service (NTS) to maintain merit.
