London police will arrest Altaf Hussain soon, claims British politician

Galloway told media that police was inching towards arrest of Altaf Hussain.

LONDON (Dunya News) – British politician and writer George Galloway on Tuesday claimed that London police will soon arrest Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain in connection with money laundering case.

Citing his sources from Scotland Yard, Galloway told media that police was inching towards arrest of Altaf Hussain.

The British politician further stated that Karachi is very dear to him because he had spent some memorable days of his life in the city.

Violence and corruption in Karachi is intolerable, he added.  

Earlier on Monday, London police extended Altaf Hussain s bail till July 9, 2015 after he was interviewed for more than five hours by investigating officers on suspicion of money laundering.

Hussain had left Pakistan for Britain in 1992 after a military operation in Karachi, gaining British citizenship in 2002.
