Karachi: Speeding bus crushes 3 persons to death in Liaquatabad town
It was the second crash involving loss of life in the metropolis in less than 24 hours.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – Three people were killed and four others injured when a speeding bus hit a rickshaw and pedestrians in Liaquatabad area of Karachi on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
According to police, the tragedy occurred in front of Firdous Cinema. A local bus hit a rickshaw and several other people who were crossing the road.
The bodies and injured people have been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Meanwhile, a crowd of angry people gathered at the spot and set the bus ablaze.
Police arrived at the scene and baton charged the protestors to control the situation. The bus driver was also taken into custody.

Earlier on Monday, three children died and four others sustained injuries when a speeding truck hit them near Khyberabad Hotel on Northern Bypass.
The victims were returning home from a madrassa when the tragedy occurred.
