US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency.Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and US Ambassador Anne W. Patterson were also present during the meeting. Matters relating to Pak-US bilateral relations, fight against militancy, regional security situation and other matters of mutual concerns were discussed during the meeting. President Zardari has said that regional cooperation and establishment of transnational linkages were essential for fighting terrorism effectively.Earlier during the day Admiral Mullen along with Chief of Staff USAF General Norton A Schwartz,, called on Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman. General Kayani also called on President prior to his meeting with Admiral Mullen.
