Pervaiz Rashid hopes Altaf Hussain won't 'repeat his mistake'
Federal minister said that his job is to curb the fire, not fuel it
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has apologized, adding that he hopes MQM chief doesn’t repeat it.
He said he hopes Altaf Hussain doesn’t repeat the words he used for the army.
Rashid attended a conference of writers and poets at Karachi Arts Council as chief guest. Talking to the media after the event, federal minister said that his job is to curb the fire, not fuel it.
Responding to a question about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, Pervaiz Rashid alleged Khan wants to see a situation of unrest in the country all the time.
The federal minister also praised the operation against criminal elements in Karachi and operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists in North Waziristan.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is determined to continue both operations until their logical conclusions.
