There are differences between OGRA and petroleum ministry over the price of LNG

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Differences between Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and petroleum ministry have surfaced over the price of LNG. OGRA has declined from setting the LNG prices on monthly basis, reported Dunya News.

According to sources, petroleum ministry wrote a letter to OGRA stressing that LNG price should also be decided on monthly basis like other petroleum products.

However, OGRA has declined. OGRA maintains that LNG price cannot be decided on monthly basis like other petroleum products. It says that gas price can only be decided after 6 months according to the constitution. OGRA has requested price setting formula of LNG from the Ministry of Petroleum.
