Jamaat Islami's rally attacked in Liaqatabad Karachi by unidentified people who used batons

KARACHI (Dunya News) – MQM canceled their local body election campaign rally on Saturday. Election campaigns of different political parties are on peak in constituency of NA 246 in Karachi.

Today Jamaat Islami (JI)’s rally was attacked in Liaqatabad by unidentified people who used batons. After the attack situation is tense between MQM and JI. Ameer JI Sirajul Haq said that they are not afraid of anyone and they will win the election despite all the hurdles created by violent opponents. He demanded the Election Commission and Sindh government to take notice of the incident.

After the violent episode during the rally of JI, all the rallies going to be held in Karachi on Sunday have been canceled both by JI and MQM to avoid any voilent.

MQM leader Navid Jamil called Sirajul Haq and said that he and his party condemn the attack on JI rally but he also said that the fight was started by JI workers.
