The Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi has suspended the Deputy Secretary of National Assembly Employees Cooperative Housing Society (NAEHCS) Tariq Ayub Khakwani after warning from Chairman Public Accounts Committee Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. The land record of the Cooperative Housing Society has also been sealed.A number of charges including embezzlement of society funds and buying expensive land for the society have been brought up against Tariq Khakwani who was appointed as administrator of the society three years ago. It is pertinent to mention that earlier during the day Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has demanded for actions against the Deputy Secretary Tariq Khakwani. He also announced that if no action would be initiated against Tariq Khakwani then there would be no more sessions of the Accounts Committee. He alleged that millions of rupees have been embezzled to allot plots to government employees and military officers.
