Bannu: Heavy rain floods IDPs camp
Many tents collapsed, food got wasted and people had to spend night under the sky
BANNU (Dunya News) – Heavy rain flooded the IDPs camp located at the link road in Bannu, many tents collapsed and people had to spend the night under the sky.
Rain destroyed the possessions of people and all the food got wasted. Men, women, children and elderly, all had to spend the night under the open sky. Local population helped the IDPs as much as was possible while no one from district government showed up.
This camp has hundreds of tents where thousands of IDPs are residing. The process of North Wazirastan’s IDPs return has also been started. In the first phase, IDPs of Mir Ali sub division are being sent back, which will continue till 24th of April.
