MQM chief Altaf Hussain has announced resignation from party leadership on Monday.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain while addressing an emergent meeting of party leaders and workers on telephone from London on Monday announced resignation from party leadership.
He said that he is being criticized and abused for the past 40 year because he was the head of MQM. Altaf said that he cannot bear criticism and abuses anymore.
MQM chief asked his party workers to choose a new party leader with consensus, specifically pointing out towards senior leader Farooq Sattar. Party workers responded with chants in favour of their leader but Altaf Hussain refused to listen as he said his decision is final.
