At least five to six kilogram of explosive material was used in bomb blast, states report

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The initial investigation report of the suicide bomb blast at Qalandri Chowk in North Nazimabad on Friday night has been finalised.

According to the report, the motorcycle used by the attacker did not bear a number plate and there is no chassis number also. It is difficult to identify the owner of the motorcycle due to lack of identification number. At least five to six kilogram (kg) explosive material was used in the bomb blast.

Moreover, metal pieces were used in the suicide vest. Pieces of the suicide vest have also been found from the blast site. The bomb disposal squad has also found the button of the improvised explosive device.

Earlier, the funeral prayers of as many as two Rangers personnel were offered who embraced martyrdom in the suicide attack last night. Director General (DG) Rangers Bilal Akbar and Corps Commander Lt General Naveed Mukhtar attended the funeral along with several other high-ranked officials.
