Pakistan Muslim League-N has decided to oppose the imposition of Value Added Tax (VAT). Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif would inform concerns of PML-N over VAT to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.Former finance minister and leader of PML-N Sartaj Aziz gave briefing to the members of the party during a meeting held earlier in the day in Muree. PML-N maintains that the current tax structure should be improved prior to the implementation of the VAT. PML-N also demanded that the mechanism of spending public funds should be made transparent.
