Karachi: Action stepped up against drug dealers, 10 suspects arrested

According to ANF officials, drugs recovered from the raid are worth millions of rupees.

KARACHI (Dunya news) Karachi’s Mehmoodabad police force and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Tuesday conducted raids and stepped up action against drug dealers in Karachi. 10 drug dealers were arrested. Mehmoodabad’s police force conducted a crackdown on drugs and gambling dens. The area’s police arrested individuals residing in slums who had been involved in various crimes. ANF also confiscated 280 kilograms of drugs. Station House Officer (SHO) Mehmoodabad Sarwar Khan informed that drug dens and bases were looked after by an individual named Farooq Lala who is currently residing in jail.


According to the details, Police entered the drug sanctuaries by breaking down doors. A house to house search was conducted by police. During a raid in Mehran Town Korangi, ANF uncovered 240kg’s of heroin and 40kg’s of weed that were hidden in an empty plot. One suspect was also arrested during the raid. According to ANF officials, drugs recovered from the raid were worth millions of rupees.


On the other hand, 2 criminals were injured during a clash with the police in Gulshan Iqbal. The felons managed to escape through a way nearby a hospital. 1 felon was arrested however by the police while he was visiting Jinnah Hospital for treatment.
