Gujranwala: Zahid alias Tumma Butt arrested along with 4 accomplices
CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident after it was highlighted by the media.
GUJRANWALA (Dunya news) – Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Operations Captain (Retired)Ali Zia on Wednesday informed that the police had arrested Zahid Inayat alias Tumma Butt along with 4 of his accomplices. Zahid was involved in celebratory firing on the occasion of Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Tahir Farooq Cheema’s son’s wedding. Ammunition was also confiscated from the culprits during the arrest.
He informed of these events during a press conference.
According to the details, the SSP Operations said that the arrested culprits involve Tumma Butt, Tanvir alias Tipu, Imran Dar, Waqas Butt and Allah Log Butt. Cases had been registered against the convicts in various police stations. Celebratory firing on wedding, Unlawful possession of ammunition, kidnapping of a bus driver and extortion from transporters were among the cases registered against the criminals.
Tumma Butt, Usman Cheema and Ashir Cheema had used automatic weapons for the intense and continuous aerial firing. Chief Minster (CM) of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident after it was highlighted by the media. CM Punjab also ordered the arrest of those involved after the incident came to light.
