Murderer of Shakeel Auj, Sibte Hassan arrested: Ghulam Qadir Thebo
'The number of target killings had risen in the previous month', says Ghulam Qadir Thebo
KARACHI (Dunya news) – Additional Inspector General (I.G) Ghulam Qadir Thebo on Wednesday said the culprit involved in the killing of Karachi University Islamic Studies Dean Professor Shakeel Auj and Professor Sibte Hassan had been arrested.
He informed the media of these developments during a press conference.
According to the details, the police arrested the fugitive and presented him in front of the media. The Additional I.G Sindh informed that the arrested target killer is a member of a political party. The killer has been involved in various criminal activities including the murder of the two professors.
Ghulam Qadir Thebo also told the media that the number of target killings had risen in the previous month. He stated that "we want complete eradication of target killings."
The Karachi Police Chief also stated that it doesn’t matter if the terrorist belongs to Daesh/Islamic State or the Taliban, they will continue to arrest them.
The Police Chief also announced an award of Rs. 50 lac for the teams involved in the capture of the murderer.
