'Those who published the caricatures have done a terrible thing', says Pervaiz Rasheed
ISLAMABAD (Dunya news) – The Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rasheed on Monday severely condemned the publication of blasphemous caricatures in the French magazine Charlie Hebdo. He stated that those who published the caricatures have done a terrible thing.
He expressed these views during an address to the All Parties’ Conference.
The Federal Information Minister said that we have all gathered here to express our collective disappointment towards this publication. Rasheed stated that nobody has the right to disrespect any prophet.Pervaiz Rasheed said that we have this view where you leave our religion alone and we do the same. There are more than a billion followers of Islam all around the world so conflict between religions should not be provoked. Our religion teaches us to respect all other religions. Believers of other religions will also have to show compassion.
Rasheed expressed that our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is a beacon for all of us and has shown us how to lead our lives. Our beloved Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) has lighted our hearts and shown us the right path. Believers of all religions have condemned the publication of the blasphemous caricatures. This shows that our message is also being received by followers of other religions.
Rasheed stated that we are extremely grateful to the Christians spiritual leader Pope Francis for severely condemning the blasphemous publishings. Rasheed also said that we request the Pope to do what he can to stop the publications of these blasphemous caricatures.
