Water Board commences crackdown on illegal hydrants in Karachi
An illegal hydrant was demolished in Jumma Goth area by the KWSB team.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) continued operation against illegal hydrants in different areas of the metropolis including Landhi, Korangi, Surjani and Baldia Town, Dunya News reported on Monday.
A heavy contingent of Rangers personnel is escorting Water Board team during the campaign.
According to the authorities, many hydrants were being operated illegally by the tanker mafia, who stole water from the main supply lines. From now onwards, water would only be supplied through taps and the underground supply lines.
