Karachi: Extortionist identified after Dunya News broadcasts CCTV footage
As many as three bullets were fired by one of the extortionists which claimed Saleemuddin's life
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The police on Tuesday has identified the extortionist who earlier had killed a factory supervisor for not complying with extortion. Dunya News had obtained the CCTV footage which helped the police to identify the criminal.
According to the details, after Dunya News broadcasted the CCTV footage showing an extortionist firing as many as three bullets, last one in the head of the factory supervisor, the police was able to identify the culprit. The police officials contacted the mother of the extortionist who verified that he is her son.
The footage shows at least three extortionists entering into a factory in Karachi and having at least 17-min long discussion with the supervisor named Saleemuddin. As many as three bullets were fired by one of the extortionists which claimed Saleemuddin’s life. The footage shows all three extortionists absconding from the crime scene.
While talking to Dunya News, extortionist s mother has said that she is separated from her husband and she has not seen her son for years now. She told his name is Abdul Raheem and he lives with his father. She said that a person named Ahmad took Raheem away many years ago. She said that she has nothing to do with money that is obtained by extortion. Abdul Raheem has two sisters, she added.
