7 cops suspended after cell phone recovered from death-row terrorist
Superintendent was also demoted to OSD
HARIPUR (Daily Dunya) – The superintendant of the Haripur jail was made OSD and at least seven personnel were suspended over providing cell phone and other facilities to terrorist on death row Niaz Muhammad.
The Haripur central jail was declared highly sensitive and a cell phone was recovered from a death-row terrorist when he was being transferred to Peshawar upon searching.
The army officers complained about the issue directly to the province’s Home Secretary and Inspector General (IG) prisons over which, the superintendent Khalid Abbas was demoted.
There have been rumors of Khalid Abbas’s collaboration with Taliban.
