Karachi: Two Rangers personnel killed in Landhi
Fear and panic gripped the area after the firing incident.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – Two Rangers personnel were killed and another got injured in shooting incident in Landhi area of the metropolis on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
Unknown gunmen opened fire on Rangers personnel in Sherpao Colony, killing two Rangers men including Rukhsar and Amir Hassan while injuring another.
Rangers personnel conducted raid in the area upon receiving intelligence regarding the presence of members belonging to a banned outfit.
Later, additional contingents of Rangers and police reached the spot and sealed all exit and entry points to nab the culprits.
At least three suspects belonging to a banned organisation were arrested during house-to-house search. Three hand grenades and other arms were also recovered.
Separately, four robbers were looting a house near Kamran Chowrangi in Gulistan-e-Johar when police arrived at the scene.
One robber and a policeman were killed while SHO Gulistan-e-Johar and ASI got injured during exchange of fire.
Police chased other three robbers, killing two of them.
