MITHI (Dunya News) – Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq on Tuesday said the rulers of the state were responsible for the deaths in Thar and demanded to file an FIR against Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and the cabinet.

He said Thar is inundated with mineral resources but people of Thar were thrust to poverty while the feudal lords enjoy all the benefits.

He asked if hundreds of deaths at the hands of governmental negligence fell under the premise of terrorism.

If Sindh government sincerely wants to solve the issue of Thar; government must designate Thar as provincial capital for three years.

Sirajul Haq said JI has initiated ‘Prosperous Pakistan’ campaign and is determined to bring prosperity in Sindh.

Affected people of Thar have been suffering the scarcity of food, water and medicinal facilities in Thar, Chachro and Mithi for a long time while the government and administration remained deaf eared.
