Uzair Baloch's Pakistani passport expired

FIA would be sending its team to bring Uzair back to Pakistan from Dubai.

DUBAI (Dunya News) – The chief of the defunct Peoples Amn Committee (PAC) and influential Lyari gang war leader Uzair Baloch’s passport has expired.

According to the details, the passport was issued on March 31, 2009 for a span of five years and has expired on 30 March, 2014.

According the sources, after the issuance of the red warrants for the accused, Pakistani consulates worldwide are informed of the action and so passport of the accused cannot be issued. It therefore seems like he was traveling disguising Iranian nationality but got caught in Dubai after interrogation and through a fingerprint match.

Sources of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) revealed receiving the information from Dubai officials; FIA would now be sending its team to bring Uzair Baloch back to Pakistan.

Earlier, Interpol arrested the absconder and notorious chief of Lyari gang, Uzair Baloch, from Dubai International Airport on Monday.

Uzair Baloch was wanted by the judicial authorities of Pakistan in connection with target killing, extortion and other criminal cases.

Baloch and others were declared proclaimed offenders by Anti-Terrorism Court on July 23, 2013 in the murder case of alleged Lyari gangster, Arshad Pappu.

Afterwards, police raided his residence several times but failed to capture him.

Sindh government had sent documents seeking red warrants against the suspect to the federal government.

Later, the federal government contacted the Interpol through Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for arrest of the accused.
