Death toll mounts to 234 as three more die in famine-struck Thar
Administration failed to meet their claims as relief units were unable to access Thar affectees.
THARPARKAR (Dunya News) – Death toll in Thar rises to 234 as three more innocent lives die of famine on Tuesday.
Hunger continued to claim lives in Thar as children continue to suffer depravation of food and water in Mitthi and Diplo while the relief activities in the area remain suspended.
122 dispensaries and basic health units are out of order due to unavailability of staff whereas 30 doctors and 23 ambulances from other areas failed to access far flung areas of Thar. Poor residents are longing for food, pure drinking water and medicines.
Relief Inspecting Judge has summoned DC Tharparkar and Social Officer on December 24 on the request of Tharparkar Bar Council.
