Azad Kashmir: Police detain 138 foreigners during search operation

The detainees do not posses travel documents and residential permits, police sources reveal.

MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) – Police launched a search operation against Afghans illegally residing in Azad Kashmir and detained 138 persons following Peshawar school attack.

At least 80 Afghans from District Bagh, 41 from Dhirkot, 8 from Rawalakot and 10 from Muzaffarabad were taken into custody.

According to the police officials, the detainees do not posses travel documents and residential permits. Police sources also revealed that search operation is also being conduct in rural areas and the individuals who do not fulfill legal prerequisites were being arrested whereas many people have been expelled from the area after interrogation.
