The parliamentary parties' meeting is an admirable step, says Haq

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq on Thursday has said that the attack on the Army Public School has united the nation and that now the ball is in the government’s court.

He said that the parliamentary parties’ meeting is an admirable step and showed the people of the country that besides the issues between political parties, the nation stands strong against this evil.

JI chief also said that all the problems faced by the country would be solved if the government makes a strategic plan.

Haq said that Dr Fareed Paracha and Sahibzada Tariq have been nominated by the party for the National Action Plan Committee.

He said that the government revoked capital punishment due to the pressure from the European Union.

He urged the government to review its policies in the best interest of the nation and said that only the supremacy of the law and the constitution would steer the country out of its problems.

JI chief further said that Islam has a complete system of reward and punishment and the government must not make its policies under the influence of the Western countries.
