Condemning unwarranted arrests of workers by Rangers, police, MQM demanded their immediate release

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have demanded immediate release of its workers arrested today (Monday) by Rangers and police, Dunya News reported. MQM Rabita Committee condemned ‘unwarranted’ arrests of MQM workers and demanded their immediate release.

In a statement issued today, MQM Rabita Committee said that Rangers arrested MQM worker Rehan Akram when he was at his laboratory in Nazimabad No. 7 and was carrying out his daily activities. Kamran Shah and Rehan Qureshi were arrested from Sarjani, Sajid from Lyari and Suhail from Society area.

MQM Rabita Committee said that more than 24 MQM workers have been arrested during last one week. It said that families of the arrested workers are facing troubles due to unwarranted and illegal arrests of their workers. Rabita Committee demanded from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Interior Affairs Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of unwarranted arrests of MQM workers and get them presented before courts after being produced.
