Rallying from airport poses threat to Qadri's life, Lahore police warn
Qadri will then leave for his house in Model Town, also in the form of a rally.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore police on Wednesday warned that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri’s life is in danger if he exits the airport in form of a rally. Qadri is due to arrive at Lahore airport from London on Thursday morning, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, Qadri is reaching back to Pakistan after his foreign visit. PAT chief will arrive at 6:30 am at the Lahore airport from where he has planned to lead a rally all the way to the Data Durbar via Ring Road and Canal Road.
Qadri will then leave for his house in Model Town, also in the form of a rally.
Shunning the warning, PAT spokesman Raheeq Abbasi said that PAT has received no such warning and that even if they did, PAT would not change the plan.
