Gullu Butt files petition for release on bail

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Shahid Aziz who is notoriously referred to as Gullu Butt, convicted in the Model Town tragedy, has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday for suspension of his sentence and release on bail.
The petition says that the Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has sentenced the petitioner in contrast to what the law and the facts say.
The petitioner has demanded release on bail after suspension of his sentence.
Earlier, in the Model Town incident case, the ATC had sentenced Aziz to 11 years and three months rigorous imprisonment and 1.1 million fine for vehicles’ vandalism.
Aziz is presently behind the bars at the Central Jail Kot Lakhpat.
