Donors moot for flood victims, IDPs today
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is chairing the Donors Conference.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An International Donors Conference for the welfare of flood victims and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP’s) presiding by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is underway in Islamabad today (Tuesday).
According to details, International Bank, Asian Development Bank, Japanese International Corporation Agency (JAICA), USAID, Department for International Development (DfID) along with various international financial departments and Ambassadors and representatives of different countries are attending the meeting.
Delegates have been briefed regarding the losses occurred due to floods and required funds for the rehabilitation process of affectees.
Moreover, officers of Economic Affairs Division (EAD) and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) are updating conference attendees regarding the IDP’s who have left their homes due to North Waziristan Operation.
