Yum-e-Ashur to be observed today, scholars to pay rich tributes to great martyrs of Karbala

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Ashura procession that had started from Nisar Haveli continues in the walled city of Lahore. Yum-e-Ashur is going to be observed today (Tuesday) throughout Pakistan and scholars will pay rich tributes to the legendary sacrifice of the martyrs of Karbala. Central procession started from Nisar Haveli, Mochi Gate. Mourning procession will continue throughout the day.

Central procession in Lahore has started from Nisar Haveli, Mochi Gate, and it will end at Karbala Gamay Shah, where Shaam-e-Ghareebaan (Night of the oppressed) will be observed.

In Karachi, central procession started from Nishter Park. The procession will pass M. A. Jinnah Road, Empress Market, Regal Chowk, Tibet Center and end at Hussainia Iranian Khaaradar.

In Rawalpindi, central procession will start from Imam Bargaah Colonel Maqbool at 10 am and end, after passing through the traditional routes, at Qadeemi Imam Bargaah at 9 pm.

Central procession, in Peshawar, will begin at 11 am and end at Manazil in the night.

At 7.30 am, central procession will start from Imam Bargaah Hussaini, in Quetta. It will arrive at Punjabi Imam Bargaah, Alamdar Road, after evening prayer.

In Multan, central procession will begin from Aastana Lal Shah and end after reaching the shrine of Shah Shams.
