Edhi centre dacoity: Police suspects ex-female employee
Data from mobile phone recovered from the site suggests that one of the dacoits was in contact her.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Investigation for robbery of millions of rupees at social activist Abdul Sattar Edhi’s head office in Karachi took a surprising turn when substantial evidence revealed that their ex-employee might have been an accomplice to the dacoits.
According to the sources, Abdul Sattar Edhi had got her married but she later took divorce from her ex-husband and got married to a man residing in a colony near Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC).
After the compilation of forensic data from the mobile phone recovered from the site suggests that one of the dacoits was in contact with her.
Police has started to search her premises.
Previously, Bahria Town’s CEO Malik Riaz Hussain has decided to pay maximum compensation to the world-renowned social activist Abdul Sattar Edhi for the dacoity in Edhi Welfare Centre.
Malik Raiz said “Edhi is the most honorable and respected personality and I can’t stand to see him troubled”. He added that he will pay maximum compensation amount to cover for Edhi’s loss.
At least eight armed dacoits stormed into the Edhi welfare centre in the Mithadar area of Karachi on Sunday. Abdul Sattar Edhi was held hostage by the armed men who raided the centre, taking away millions of rupees.
