LoC violations: Pak, India DMOs contact via hotline

Pakistan's DMO has expressed deep reservations upon the continuous unprovoked Indian firing.

SIALKOT (Dunya News) – Pakistani and Indian military officials contacted each other through through hotline today (Tuesday) to discuss ways to reduce tension along the Line of Control (LoC).

According to the military sources, Pakistan’s Director of Military Operations conveyed country s concern to his Indian counterpart regarding continuous unprovoked Indian shelling and firing at the working border and Line of Control (LoC) and the loss of innocent lives as a consequence.

It was the first ever contact between the Pakistani and Indian miltiary officials since tensions arose at the border.

Indian and Pakistani troops and border guards have opened fire and shelled each other s territory in recent days, leaving many civilians dead on both sides and forcing thousands to flee their homes.
