Corruption cases on former MPA Qasim Zia, others start in NAB
NAB Executive Board has decided to start 5 cases including one against Firdous Ashiq Awan
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Executive Board of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to open 5 big corruption cases. The cases include corruption scandals against former Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Qasim Zia, former PPP MNA Firdous Aashiq Awan and Awami National Party’s (ANP) Azam Khan Hoti who is also father of former Chief Minister Khyber Pkahtunkhawa (KPK) Ameer Haider Kahn Hoti.
According to Dunya News, it has been alleged against Firdous Aashiq Awan that she kept 12 public buses in her personal use. Former Minister for Drug Regulatory Authority has also been alleged of recruiting people in violation of merit. NAB will also pursue the case against Azam Khan Hoti and his wife Humaira Azam Khan who have been alleged of illegally transacting 128 million rupees. NAB proceedings have also been started against former member assembly Rana Muhammad Ishaq who has been alleged of corruption in Pattoki Council Fund worth Rs. 500 million.
Qasim Zia and his aides have been alleged of cheating people in stock market and making 107.7 million rupees through corruption. The fifth inquiry is being started against former Secretary Housing KPK Zakiullah who has been alleged of making illegal assets. NAB has also agreed to examine allegations against former provincial minister from Baluchistan Maulana Abdul Wasay.
