Sit-in holders want to push Pakistan back into dark ages, says State Minister for Water, Power

MULTAN: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister of State for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali has said that making new provinces is a provincial subject and if the provincial assembly of a certain province votes in its favour, it is its right.

Talking exclusively to Dunya News today (Sunday) during his visit to Multan, Abid Sher Ali said that sit-in holders want to push Pakistan back into dark ages. He said that government is, by no means, in a tough situation as it has the support of Parliament which represents 180 million people of Pakistan.

Abid Sher Ali further said that Musharraf government could not prove any corruption against Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N). “People living in 700-kanal houses should tell what is their source of income”, said Abid Sher Ali.

“Bilawal is son of a national leader and his visit to Punjab is welcome”, said PML-N stalwart from Faisalabad. He said that all political parties should help flood victims. Talking about party candidate in NA-149 where by-elections are due to be held in near future, Abid Sher Ali said that the candidate will be decided by Parliamentary Board of PML-N.
