SC issues contempt of court notice to NAB chairman
Supreme Court issued a contempt of court notice to Chairman NAB Irfan Nadeem for non-implementation of court orders vis-a-vis NRO verdict.During the hearing of a corruption case against Ahmed Riaz Shiekh today, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry asked NAB Chairman Nadeem that why the NAB has not done any proceeding regarding NRO verdict implementation and asked him to submit reply on the contempt of court notice the apex court has issued to him till 1:00pm today.The CJ deplored that a deliberate propaganda is on against the Supreme Court just to show that its the only institution that needs reformation, while Justice Ramday observed that SCs only crime is that it has given verdict against NRO and since December 16 it came under fire, adding that the Parliament put the whole responsibility on the apex court.
