Fazal and Asfand join hands; If Imran directs MPAs to resign, forward block may be formed

PESHAWAR: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan had offered to hold elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa  (KPK) if anyone demanded re-election on the basis of rigging. Now Jamiat Ulema Islam – Fazal (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazalur Rehman and Awami National Party (ANP) leader Asfand Yar Wali Khan have openly stated that PTI has come into power in KPK through rigging.

Asfand Yar Wali Khan said that KPK has been held hostage for the sake of 4 constituencies in Punjab. On one side, there are some serious allegations of rigging in KPK while on the other side, opposition has submitted a No Confidence Movement in KPK to stop PTI from dissolving the assemblies yet the government has not yet called the session.

PTI has 55 MPAs in KPK Assembly while opposition has 53 MPAs. Jamaat Islami (JI) has 8 members in the provincial assembly while Jamhuri Ittehad has 5 members. One member is independent while one seat is empty. Government has challenged the opposition to show their majority in the KPK Assembly.
