11 dead including 3 soldiers in Azad Kashmir due to land-sliding

MUZAFFARABAD: (Dunya News) – 11 people including 3 soldiers died in Azad Kashmir due to land-sliding caused by constant rains for the last several hours. More than 20 people have got injured so far due to the rains, according to Dunya News report.
Two-day rain caused a sand clump to fall in Khurshidabad area of Azad Kashmir near Line of Control (LoC). Captain Fazal, soldier Salman and Ghulam Mohiuddin embraced martyrdom due to the fall of this sand clump.
1 man drowned in a stream near Havelian. 17-year-old student drowned in Pounch River. In Bagh, a student of ninth standard and a ten-year-old girl drowned in the stream. The dead-bodies of the two girls, drowned in Bagh, have not yet been found. A jeep accidentally fell into a stream leaving a man dead and three injured. 70-year-old woman in Khoi Ratta and a man in Bhimber lost their lives as the roof fell over them.
State Disaster Management Authority has directed administrations of all the districts to be ready to deal with any sort of emergency situations in their respective districts.
