Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani met with US Central Command Commander General David Petraeus to discuss issues of mutual concern and Pakistans aid for the war on terror.COAS called on Gen Petraeus at Air Force Base, where they discussed ways to enhance Pak-US cooperation on Afghan peace and reaffirm the strategic partnership between Pakistan and the United States. They also discussed improvements in coordination between Pakistans military and U.S. forces in Eastern Afghanistan. Petraeus appreciated Pakistan Army on hard-fought gains against the Tehrik-i Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the Swat valley, as well as the Pakistani militarys impressive counter-insurgency campaign.Gen. Kayani also met with Special Operations Command Commander, Adm. Eric Olson, and watched flight demonstration at the Air Festival.
