Chaman: 3 injured in blast on Mall Road

CHAMAN (Dunya News) – Three civilians got injured and several cars destroyed in an explosion at Mall Road, Chaman today (Monday).

Reportedly the bomb was installed in a motorbike which got exploded. 3 people got injured as a result of the explosion and were rushed to the DistrictHeadquarters Hospital for medical assistance. A number of cars parked at the blast site were also destroyed in the incident but no damage done to the buildings.

A special branch office is also situated near the site of explosion.

The security forces have cordoned off the area and put the city’s security on high alert and initiated an investigation.

Earlier on August 7, at least eleven people including three policemen were injured in a blast in Pakistan s southwest Chaman district.

The bomb planted on a motorcycle went off outside Additional Deputy Commissioner’s house on Mall Road.

Police and other law enforcement personnel sealed the location soon after the blast and shifted the injured to Chaman’s District Headquarter Hospital.

According to witnesses, the bomb exploded inside a motorbike.

Initial report confirms it was a remote-controlled blast and the main target was police van, security sources told.

Several nearby shops and vehicles were also damaged in the blast.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility of the attack.
