"We cannot support violence for revolution" - Allama Muhammad Haider Alvi

RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Senior Vice President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Rawalpindi has resigned along with five district level officials of the party.

While talking to press conference in Rawalpindi, Information Secretary of PAT Rawalpindi Allama Haider Alvi said that they had joined the movement to establish ‘Mustafvi System’ in the country and struggled for it but have serious reservations on Tahirul Qadri’s politics of violence.

“Tahirul Qadri ordered to cut the throats of police officers which is contrary to the teachings of the religion and the constitution”, said Allama Haider Alvi.

Vice President PAT Rawalpindi Akhlaq Ahmad Jalali said that there is no consultation in Pakistan Awami Tehreek. “Nobody knows Tahirul Qadri’s agenda”, said Jalali.

They said that they will visit the entire Rawalpindi division and will educate the people about
Operation Zarb-e-Azb and peace.

5 officials of PAT Rawalpindi who have resigned today include Senior Vice President Habib-ur-Rehman Saifi, Vice President Akhlaq Ahmad Jalali, Secretary Information Allama Haider Alvi, Kamran Akhtar and Raja Pervez Hashmat.
