Punjab considers suspending mobile service on Eid

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Home Department released its security plan on Wednesday for Jummatul Widah and Eid-ul-Fitr. The suspension of mobile phone service on Eid is also being considered, Dunya News reported.
The Home Department issued correspondence regarding security plan on Eid directing the law enforcement that prominent personalities will need clearance before traveling to any place.
It was also decided that the suspects will be taken into custody if they fail to prove their identity.
The department also decided to check the record of all hostels and guest houses before Eid.
The Home Department directed that all cities install check posts at entry and exit points. It directed District Police Officers (DPOs) to take steps to secure large gatherings.
