Treason case: Additional Director FIA, prosecution witness testify before court
Musharraf�s lawyers will cross-examine investigation officer Khalid Rasool on August 5.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Additional Director of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and prosecution witness Khalid Reasool today (Wednesday) testified before the special court in treason case against former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Faisal Arab heard the case.
During case proceedings, the court remarked that defence lawyer will cross-examine prosecution witness Khalid Rasool in the next hearing.
The prosecution also finalized the process of presenting written testimonies before the court.
Investigation officer Khalid Rasool told court that DG FIA on November 19, 2013 included him in the investigation team. He collected all the documents from the Ministry of Law and Justice, cabinet division, Printing Corporation of Pakistan, PTV and handed them over to head of FIA investigation team Khalid Qureshi.
I didn’t play any other role except handing over the documents to the investigation team, Khalid Rasool said.
Meanwhile, defence lawyers prayed to court to summon Khalid Qureshi and Maqsood-ul-Hassan. Justice Faisal Arab remarked that decision will be taken after conclusion of cross-examination procedure.
Subsequently, the case hearing was adjourned till August 5.
