Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman announces minimum amount of Sadqa-e-Fitr.

 SLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman announced the fixed rates for fitr, fidiya, fast and atonement.

According to the details, Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal CommitteeMufti Muneeb ur Rehman stated that the set rate of Sadqa-e-Fitr (obligatory charity given to the poor) and Fidiya (compensation for not fasting) for Eid ul Fitr this year is a minimum of hundred rupee per person. Details reveal that it’s compulsory for an individual to who intentionally breaks his fast to feed 60 poor people and the monetary compensation is rupees 6,000. Compensation for fitr and fidiya is set to be 240 rupees. The compensation for breaking the fast is rupees 14,400. On the scale of dates, the set fidiya and compensation for fitr is 1,280 rupees and for fast being broken is 76,800 rupees. Scaling in terms of raisins: The maximum compensation for fitr and fidiya is 2,560 rupees. Breaking your fast should be compensated by 1 lac 53 thousand 6 hundred rupees. Mufti Muneeb elaborated and advised every individual to pay according to their financial status.

Sadqa-e-Fitr is an obligatory charity that an individual has to pay to the deserving bracket of the society according to their financial status whereas, there is compensation for skipping or breaking fast on purpose. There are set standards and scales to pay off as per instructed in Islam.
