PTI chief asked the judiciary whether they're on oppressors' side or on that of people.

SIALKOT (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan asked while addressing PTI rally here on Saturday that from whom PTI should seek justice if the judiciary can’t provide it, Dunya News reported.
“I want to talk to honourable judges, you have to face God one day and the scale of justice that God expects from judges is your responsibility and the other responsibility is what people had put on you when they took to streets for judiciary’s independence,” he said.
“People faced jails and harassments; I also spent 8 days in jail. People are looking at you. The biggest fraud in the history of the country was May 11’s election.”
PTI chief asked the judiciary what side they are on.
“We all had high hopes from you. I ask with all due respect to all judges whether you will provide the justice to people of Pakistan. Will you stand by oppressors who stole people’s mandate or with those people who want real democracy? We haven’t gotten justice yet,” he said.
“In a constituency NA 118, tribunal decided that recounting will take place, a judge Justice (retd) Munir Mughal recounted votes in 15 days and revealed 90,000 votes were bogus. What we read in newspaper is that NADRA chairman was changing ballots after turning off CCTV camera.”
Quoting Hamid Zaman’s case, he said that PTI leader spent 57 lakh rupees to gain justice and he has been wandering around for a year now.
“Tell me Hon Justice where should people like us and Hamid Zaman would go if we don’t get justice?” he asked.
“Court gave verdict on Jehangir Tareen’s plea after 1 year, saying that votes will be recounted and Jehangir Tareen had to spend 2 crore rupees to get there. Can a middle class person get justice by spending that much of money?”
He said that Nawaz Sharif’s constituency in Sargodha had 1500 votes in one of its polling stations whereas the recount revealed that some 8000 votes, adding that the ECP termed this as typing error.
“I ask Pakistan how many such typing errors were committed?” he asked.
Continuing to lament at Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, he said that PMLN got some 68 lakh votes in 2008 elections when there as a strong anti-Musharraf sentiment and PTI had boycotted.
“I ask you all how did their party get 1 crore 45 lakh votes in 2013 elections?” he asked.
“I ask my Pakistanis whether their lives saw any improvements during PMLN’s previous tenure that they got that kind of response the second time, was this also a typing error?”
Calling for action from the participants, PTI chief said:
“If we don’t get justice now, forget justice, forget democracy. These people will join hands and do corruption together. These people will form their own NAB and own election commission and own caretaker government.”
“Let’s resolve to take to streets, go to court and do whatever we can but we won’t let such election take place again,” he added.
Talking about federal budget for the fiscal year 2014-2015, he said that this budget is business-centric, claiming that it benefits only rich.
“You should all know by now that this year’s budget is only for rich people. It’s for those who earn billion of rupees and evade tax. This budget is not for labourers and farmers and poor households,” he said.
“This budget is for no one other than a small segment of society. Until you all struggle for it, there will be no real democracy in the country. Those who gain from the budget are those who embezzled the money and sent it abroad. Who will bring this money back?”
Addressing the young participants, he said:
“Dear youth tell me will we accept this? Will we accept this system of oppression?”
Just before concluding his address, he slammed Jang/Geo owner Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman saying that he separates ‘honest journalists’ from Mir Shakil.
Imran Khan termed Mir Shakil as ‘pharaoh in Dubai’ and alleged that Shakil blackmails everyone for the same of money making.
“This is the same Mir Shakil who blackmailed DG ISI. When I objected it, he blackmailed me, he published ads about me worth billion rupees. Thank you Mir Shakil for giving me free publicity,” he said.
“Mir Shakil you should seek forgiveness from people of Pakistan. What you’re doing to the people of Pakistan for the sake of money, you should seek forgiveness.”
Khan concluded his address with an announcement of next rally due on June 22 in Bahawalpur.
