RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) Chief Sirajul Haq claimed on Sunday that his party failed to secure votes due to flaws in electoral system, adding that the people have to face armed, political and economic terrorists, Dunya News reported.
Addressing to the first public gathering after taking charge as Jamaat Chief, he gave the new guideline to the party workers. He said that his party will provide relief to the Muslim world but will focus on people of Pakistan first. He said that people of Pakistan have been bearing the system of injustice.
He said that 5% ruling elite is ruling the public.
Sirajul Haq said that the country is facing not just armed terrorism, but also political and economic terrorism. He said that people have to confront armed, political and economic terrorists.
He said that courts’ helplessness to provide relief to the poor is regrettable. He said that arguments should be countered with arguments, not with bullets.

Sirajul Haq elected as JI Chief:

JI Chief Siraj ul Haq took oath of his office on April 9.
Haq who was serving as senior minister in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa coalition government was elected as the Jamaat Amir for the next five years.
The JI elected its new Ameer or chief from among the three nominees including Syed Munawwar Hasan, Sirajul Haque and Liaquat Baloch.
The names have been proposed by the Central Majlis-e-Shura.
About 32,400 card-holder JI members elected their new Chief through secret ballot process spanning over two months.
